Job Description

Our client Wirral MBC is looking for an Advanced Practitioner to join their MASH - Adult Safeguarding team.

Advanced Practitioner Social Worker to join our Adult Safeguarding Team in Wirral. We are looking for the right person who has safeguarding experience and has been in an advanced practitioner role. An enthusiastic and self-motivated person to work as a key member in our team, ensuring the highest quality of professional safeguarding practice is delivered in line with legislation, policies, procedures and best practice.

To work with key stakeholders at the start of safeguarding enquiry and during the enquiry, ensuring collaborative risk management and defensible decision-making practice. Working closely with another Advanced Practitioner in the team, Team Manager and Senior Manager by supporting the day to day running of the team. Providing professional supervision and advice to several Experienced Social Workers and a Care Navigator. Providing a consultation service to professionals seeking safeguarding advice regarding safeguarding thresholds, referrals, section 42 enquiries and Mental Capacity Assessments.

To support Duty workers with triaging and reducing the number of inappropriate referrals into safeguarding team. Making the right onward referral decisions to the most appropriate agency as early as possible to improve service provision.
