Job Description

Classroom Support Staff (Secondary) - Wirral

Are you an energetic individual ready to bring fresh support to the classroom?
We are launching a recruitment drive for Classroom Support Staff to join our secondary school network across the Wirral.

As we hit the mid-point of the Summer Term 2026, our schools in the CH postcodes are looking for proactive individuals to provide high-quality assistance. This is an essential role during the GCSE and A-Level exam window, where your presence helps maintain a calm, productive atmosphere for students in Key Stages 3 and 4. Starting this May is a strategic way to build relationships that often lead to long-term contracts for the September 2026 academic year.

We match you to the schools closest to your home across all CH postcodes:

  • Birkenhead, Bidston & Oxton: CH41, CH42, CH43
  • Wallasey, New Brighton & Seacombe: CH44, CH45
  • Bebington, Bromborough & Eastham: CH62, CH63
  • Heswall, Pensby & Irby: CH60, CH61
  • West Kirby, Hoylake & Meols: CH47, CH48
  • Upton, Greasby & Moreton: CH46, CH49
  • Neston & Parkgate: CH64

Requirements:

  • Previous experience supporting children or young adults with additional needs (SEN) or in a coaching/educational capacity.
  • Strong communication, empathy, patience, and the ability to simplify complex tasks into manageable steps.
  • An enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or a willingness to apply for one).

Our Benefits:

  • Competitive pay rates with weekly payouts.
  • Flexible day to day and long term supply.
  • Opportunity for "temp-to-perm" roles.
  • 24/7 access to our library of accredited CPD modules at no cost to you.
  • Earn £300 in vouchers with the "Refer a friend" scheme.
  • Local placements in your preferred postcodes to minimise your commute.

Key Duties:

  • Support learning by working with small groups or individuals to reinforce lesson objectives.
  • Manage behaviour within the classroom to maintain a focused and positive environment.
  • Prepare resources and set up equipment before lessons to ensure a smooth start.
  • Safeguard pupils by following all school policies and child protection procedures.
  • Assist the teacher with administrative tasks and the display of student work.
  • Lead interventions for students requiring extra help with literacy or numeracy.

Don't wait for September-start building your school network this May.
