Conveyancing Assistant

Location: Chester
Salary: Competitive (DOE)
Hours: Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm

Overview

A well-established North West law firm is looking to recruit a Conveyancing Assistant to join its busy and friendly Conveyancing Department in Chester. This is a client-facing role offering a varied workload and the opportunity to support fee earners on a wide range of residential property matters.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide a professional, friendly service to clients at all times
  • Liaise with clients, solicitors, and third parties via phone and email
  • Assist clients with procedural queries
  • Handle incoming and outgoing post and emails on behalf of the fee earner
  • Maintain fee earner diaries and take messages
  • Open new files and complete standard onboarding documentation
  • Support with the use of the case management system
  • Process client payments and assist with online banking transactions
Requirements
  • Previous experience within a conveyancing role is essential
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a busy environment
  • Good IT skills
  • Team player with a proactive approach
  • GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Maths
