Estate Technician (Void Properties)

We are looking for a motivated and reliable Estate Technician to join our client’s team in Kirkby, Liverpool. This hands-on role is essential in maintaining the condition and presentation of void properties and surrounding outdoor spaces. You will play a key role in preparing properties for new tenants or contractors, ensuring high standards are met across multiple sites.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collect a company transit van and travel to various sites as required (working as part of a team, you may not be required to drive on every shift)
• Remove fly-tipping, general waste and building debris from properties and land
• Carry out grounds maintenance including grass cutting, strimming, hedge trimming, pruning and jet washing
• Clear and clean void properties, including those left in poor condition
• Handle sensitive situations, including properties vacated due to eviction or bereavement
• Work alongside housing officers, social workers and other professionals in vulnerable cases
• Assist with clearing properties affected by severe neglect or fire damage
• Conduct basic machine maintenance, including cleaning equipment, performing routine checks, and arranging repairs when necessary
• Work as part of a team to ensure properties are safe, clean and ready for the next stage of occupancy or refurbishment

Skills & Experience Required:

• Previous experience in a similar role is desirable
• Physically fit and able to lift and carry waste materials
• Full, clean UK driving licence with experience driving a transit van
• Strong work ethic and ability to work in challenging environments
• Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and respect
• Good teamwork and communication skills
