Finance Manager

Accountable Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with a growing SME based in Ellesmere Port to recruit an experienced Finance Manager. Reporting to the FD this is a newly created, hands-on role offering broad exposure across the full finance cycle, as well as supporting in key business decisions. You will be responsible for financial reporting, business partnering and driving continuous improvement across the finance function.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Prepare management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis.
• Maintain general ledger integrity and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards.
• Support quarterly and annual shareholder reporting.
• Assist the Finance Director with reporting and presentations to senior stakeholders.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities.
• Provide financial insight to support cost control and business performance.
• Partner with internal teams to improve financial understanding and decision-making.
• Identify and deliver process improvements across the finance function.

Skills Required:

• Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent).
• Experience within an SME or owner-managed business ideally within the manufacturing industry.
• Costing experience.
• ERP systems experience.
• Exposure to shareholder or board-level reporting.
