As they continue to evolve and strengthen their finance function, they are seeking an experienced Head of Finance to lead financial reporting, payroll and finance operations, whilst supporting senior leaders in delivering their long-term strategic objectives.

Reporting into the Finance Director, you'll take ownership of financial reporting, audit, controls, budgeting and forecasting, whilst overseeing a small finance team, including payroll.

The Opportunity
Reporting into the Finance Director, you'll take ownership of financial reporting, audit, controls, budgeting and forecasting, whilst overseeing a small finance team, including payroll.
You'll be a visible leader across the organisation, providing financial insight, challenge and support to help drive informed decision-making and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the production of monthly management accounts and financial reporting.
- Own budgeting, forecasting and long-term financial planning processes.
- Manage year-end close, statutory accounts and external audit relationships.
- Ensure robust financial controls, governance and compliance frameworks are maintained.
- Oversee payroll operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance and effective controls.
- Lead, develop and mentor a small finance team.
- Drive finance transformation, systems improvements and process efficiencies.
- Partner with senior stakeholders to improve financial performance and support strategic decision-making.
- Deliver meaningful financial insight that helps maximise organisational impact.
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified.
- Strong financial reporting and technical accounting experience.
- Proven experience managing audits, budgets and forecasting cycles.
- Previous leadership experience within a finance function.
- Experience overseeing payroll and finance operations.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A proactive leader who enjoys improving processes and developing people.
