Legal Cashier

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Legal Cashier / Bookkeeper to join a forward-thinking, tech-enabled legal services organisation based in Hoylake. This is a great role for someone who has strong legal accounts experience and is confident managing day-to-day financial operations in a busy legal environment.

You’ll be joining a modern, innovative firm that supports a large network of lawyers across the UK and internationally. The role offers hybrid working after the initial training period, with three days per week in the office.

• Processing sales invoices and maintaining accurate billing records
• Recording and managing supplier invoices and payments
• Maintaining legal accounting records in line with regulatory requirements
• Managing client and office accounts where applicable
• Performing bank reconciliations and monitoring balances
• Posting financial transactions and maintaining the general ledger
• Handling accounts payable and receivable
• Preparing financial reports as required
• Supporting month-end and year-end processes
• Ensuring compliance with SRA Accounts Rules and best practice

• Previous experience as a Legal Cashier, Bookkeeper, or Legal Accounts Assistant
• Strong understanding of accounting procedures
• Experience in processing sales and supplier invoices
• Proficiency with Xero (essential)
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong organisational and time-management skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
