The organisation we are working with are seeking an organised and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to support financial operations within the industrial/manufacturing sector. This temporary role in Deeside involves managing invoices, payments, and supplier accounts to ensure smooth and accurate processing.

Description

  • Accurately process supplier invoices and credit notes in the accounting system.
  • Reconcile supplier statements to ensure accounts are up-to-date and accurate.
  • Handle payment runs and resolve any discrepancies with suppliers.
  • Maintain accurate records of accounts payable transactions.
  • Assist in month-end closing processes related to accounts payable.
  • Communicate effectively with suppliers to address and resolve queries.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations.
  • Support the accounting and finance team with ad hoc administrative tasks.

Profile

A successful Accounts Payable Clerk should have:

  • Prior experience in accounts payable or a similar role within the industrial/manufacturing sector.
  • Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of financial regulations and best practices in accounting.
  • Effective communication skills for resolving supplier queries.
  • Ability to manage time and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and improving processes.

Job Offer

  • Hourly pay ranging from £15.00 to £16.00, depending on experience and skills.
  • Holiday pay offered on top of basic hourly rate.
  • 3-6 month contract, with a chance of extension dependent on business need.
  • Hybrid working in Deeside with free parking on site.
  • 37.5 hour working week with flexible start and finish times.
